Want to be in a Reality Show/Series?

After "The Jersey Shore" rose to national fame in 2009 and made most of its "guidos" and "guidetes" famous, everyone seems to want to be in a reality show. Why wouldn't we? Its instant fame, money and we want to get to go to those red carpet events that we have always dreamed of.

So what exactly is it?

According to Wikipedia "Reality television is a genre of television programming that presents purportedly unscripted dramatic or humorous situations, documents actual events, and usually features ordinary people instead of professional actors.[1] The genre has existed in some form or another since the early years of television (primarily with game shows), but has expanded significantly since the series Big Brother first aired in 1999.[1] Programs in the reality television genre are commonly called "reality shows" and often are produced in series. Documentaries and nonfictional programming such as news and sports shows are usually not classified as reality shows.
The genre covers a wide range of programming formats, from game or quiz shows which resemble the frantic, often demeaning shows produced in Japan in the 1980s and 1990s (such as Gaki no tsukai), to surveillance- or voyeurism-focused productions such as Big Brother.[1]
Reality television frequently portrays a modified and highly influenced form of reality, utilizing sensationalism to attract viewers and so to generate advertising profits. Participants are often placed in exotic locations or abnormal situations,[1] and are sometimes coached to act in specific scripted ways by off-screen "story editors" or "segment producers," with the portrayal of events and speech manipulated and contrived to create an illusion of reality through editing and other post-production techniques."

I will keep adding to this post, but here are some new shows being created that I found interesting:

Shark Tank

The producers of the ABC reality series Shark Tank are on a nationwide search to discover the next successful - and possibly wealthy - entrepreneurs, inventors, businesspersons, dreamers, promoters, creators and innovators. In each episode, budding entrepreneurs are given the unprecedented chance to make their business dreams come true.
Whether you just have an idea, are a start up, or are already operating successfully and looking to expand, if you feel you have a lucrative business/idea and could use financial backing then Shark Tank is just the show for you. Casting is looking for aspiring entrepreneurs who can pitch their breakthrough business concepts, products, properties and services to moguls in hopes of landing investment funds from the moguls on the show. If selected, five self-made, brilliant, but tough investors (the Sharks) could be willing to part with their own hard-earned cash and provide you the funding you need to jumpstart your idea. But the Sharks aren't just out to invest; they too have a goal -- to own a piece of your next big idea. Who are the Sharks? Real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran, "infomercial" industry pioneer Kevin Harrington, technology innovator Robert Herjavec, fashion icon Daymond John, and financial expert Kevin O'Leary. And in season 2, successful businessman and comedian Jeff Foxworthy will join the panel for 3 episodes.
Your business idea should be top-notch and something the Sharks will really want to sink their teeth into and might even spark a bidding war between them. Who knows - you could be the fortunate entrepreneur who gets the Sharks to reveal the true level of their interest and bid up the price of your investment!
Apply now for your chance to enter the Shark Tank and see if your idea is good enough for a Shark investment.

Welcome! Join me in my new adventure as an aspiring actress in Los Angeles

I'm Bianca, but you can call me Bee.

When I was moving to LA, I killed many hours doing research to simply figure out how to survive when I got here. I had hoped to find a one stop place for all my questions, constantly updated and with the help I needed for the sometimes-working actor. So I decided to start a community that can help us all grow together or those deciding to make the journey.

My promise is to always be honest about my experiences in the biz, with new updates and helpful links, education, books and things that I have put my hard earned money to get but should be shared with my buddies.

Look forward to hearing from all of you!
